During the planning process Beth was struggling to hone in on a color scheme that she loved… in those discussions we discovered that she really was most excited about a white wedding! I love that. Green (AKA my favorite color of all time) was permeated throughout the event from the printing to the glassware to the crystal accents on the chandeliers to the lighting in the bar area. I feel like an accurate description for this event would be “rad.” Ha!

Ellen came up with this great idea to use some green crystal accents on the chandeliers… I think it was such a sophisticated touch with the green glassware on the tables!

These two were Maui-bound and we’re all a little jealous… have fun and CONGRATS, Amanda and Sam!

Never been to the Confederate Home? You are missing out! My husband and baby boy joined me for a picnic lunch during set up and it is as charming as the day is long. Erin wanted a garden feel for her wedding with a laid back, relaxed dinner with mellow music and lots of time to catch with with close friends and family. And I think that’s exactly what she got!!

She had a total vision for the event and put tireless hours into many of the details from designing his/her silhouettes for herself and Tyler to using pliers to pull back antique fork tongs to make place card holders to hand-selecting a family-style served menu with wine pairings so that everyone could have flavors to enjoy.

I loved everything about this wedding. It was traditional but modern, classic but fun, detail-oriented without being gimmicky. And above all, I ADORE the bride and her new husband. Cheers, y’all!

Her sign in was a lovely poster Erin printed from a Martha Stewart template along with a few portraits of the blushing bride and some antique silhouette frames:

SUCH a pretty place to be married (with guests on plantation benches, all the more charming!)

As a chef, Tyler knew exactly what he wanted for his wedding day food and beverage. He made a ridiculously delicious honeydew puree to add to cava for a sparkling pre-ceremony drink, and during cocktail hour he provided the hand-ground ginger beer for the gentleman’s ginger drinks. As a guest of the wedding I was thankfully allowed to partake and they were to die for (and beautiful!):

Dinner rocked. The food was amazing, the dessert was amazing… it was perfect. We set up two long tables down the length of the room and put burlap runners atop of charcoal grey linen. Spring green cushions on the chivari chairs brightened it up a bit but kept things neutral. And we placed mirrors all throughout the space to reflect all the candlelight and create that great low-lit ambience. Check out some of the details…

The escort card board was a fun project. Each table had various frames with either Erin’s or Tyler’s silhouettes, so those acted as the table “numbers:”

The menus were written on huge mirrors we scoured from thrift stores:

These are some of my favorites because I LOVE to see everyone settled into the night and having a blast…

The bride and groom left under a shower of benne seeds… appropriate for this foodie couple, I’d say:

Our wonderful clients and personal friends Ben and Allison recently had their wedding published in the spring issue of Weddings Unveiled and we could not be more thrilled to share their “I do” details with the world. Stacey was one of those brides who our whole office was excited to see when she came in town for appointments. She’s hip, smart as a whip , stylish and absolutely hysterical. She had a fun modern style and was excited to let us take her vision and run with us trusting us every step of the way.

Stacey and Jesse were married at the beautiful Charlestowne Landing and they really utilized the space to the max. Their ceremony was under the Avenue of Oaks, the cocktail hour outside of the historic Legare-Waring House and the reception at Founders Hall, the new (gorgeous!) modern venue on site (and perfect to accommodate guests inside in case of inclement weather).

Marni Rothschild Durlach was there to capture all of the sweet moments and modern details. We LOVE Marni and adore her true journalistic style in which she photographs weddings for our clients. See more photos on her blog here, and enjoy these as well!
