Chabely & Jon

February 27th, 2014

Lowndes Grove radiated against the blush and white décor of Chabely and Jon’s October wedding. Creating a romantic atmosphere for bride Chabely was done through the use of blush linens emphasized with golden accents. Guests sat under the tent at one of two, long dinner tables creating an overall intimate feel. As a personal touch, Chabely and John placed gift boxes of scones and jam at every seat, welcoming their close family and friends. Sequin overlays, used on the cake and cocktail tables, sparkled against the setting sun while the white, vintage lounge furniture added to the glowing atmosphere.

Flashback Friday, 13 things we loved about 2013

February 21st, 2014

Cheers 2013, what a great season!!! A special thanks to all of the vendors who helped with our events. Here is a little flashback Friday to some of our favorite things from 2013!!

1. WED’s New Beaufort Office

We were so excited to announce the opening of our newest WED office located in Beaufort, South Carolina.

2. Very Charleston Gift Bags

2013 was filled with Charleston themed welcome bags and one of our spring brides had the perfect Charleston inspired gift bag! Who doesn’t love this Very Charleston book and the firefly mini bottles?

3. Mixing Metallics

Gold, silver or bronze, which will you choose? In 2013, we chose them all! Mixing and matching our favorite metallics was perfect for any accent piece!

4. Crushing Over Blush

Feminine and romantic, the color blush was popping up everywhere in 2013. Flowers, invites, linens, everything we love is that much better in blush!

We all love a good dessert station but there was something so unique and personal that we loved about Sarah and Jason’s trail mix station.

10. Marble Tables

Thank you Snyder for introducing us to this marble table, it was such a fun and versatile piece to use in so many of our weddings.

Courtland & John

February 19th, 2014

Good food, friends and dancing were important to our Texas couple, Courtland and John. The two said their “I Do’s” at the Second Presbyterian Church and partied the night away with hundreds of friends at the William Aiken House. Using subtly patterned linens in taupe and silver and vintage lounge furniture, we were able to create the inviting and classic look of Courtland’s wishes. White floral and boxwood topiaries decorated every inch of the William Aiken House while silver accents added shimmering touches. During their breaks from the dance floor, guests enjoyed an array of foods including a raw bar and late night treats like spiced tater tots and grilled cheese.  This elegant soiree was classic in design, with an entertaining atmosphere and personal touches.  Our favorite has to be John’s groom’s cake made by Jim Smeal, who doesn’t love a good Whataburger? A special thanks to all of our vendors for helping us make Courtland and John’s October wedding so special.

Hope & Raleigh

January 21st, 2014

Legare Waring acted as the perfect setting for Hope and Raleigh’s June wedding.  Making use of the bride’s color choices of coral and turquoise, we transformed Founders Hall into a glowing space with a welcoming atmosphere. Our use of a custom coral and turquoise bar from Snyder paired with matching linens and colorful floral from SYG, helped bring Hope’s vision to life. Delicious barbecue from Jim ‘N Nick’s played into the relaxed, summer theme Hope and Raleigh were aiming for. This was a very special day for Hope and her mother, Laurie, who unfortunately passed away several weeks later. We feel beyond privileged to have known and worked with Laurie and are so thankful we were apart of making Hope’s dream wedding a reality.

Patty & Drew

January 15th, 2014

Patty & Drew’s Lowndes Grove wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalized style.  No detail was over looked and the gorgeous venue glowed against the primarily white décor. Royal blue accents such as pillows and vases brightened the lounge while the use of textured overlays and golden accents helped create Patty & Drew’s desired, personalized atmosphere. Adding to the design, each table was set with unique dinner plates in varying patterns differing from table to table. A combination of tall and low floral arrangements contributed to the elegant feel while guests drank peach Bellinis and danced away the evening.
