Jenny & Jason Under The Oaks

October 18th, 2012

When we first met with Jenny & Jason they both had simple requests… Jenny loves the color purple & Jason loves bacon.  Easy enough!

After scouring multiple fabric stores we found our inspiration & jumping off point for the entire design in a lavender geometric pattern which we infused in custom napkins & printing throughout the entire event.   Mackay Point Plantation, Jenny’s family’s home, was a blank slate for us to transform.  With the help of our friends over at Snyder Event Rentals we created an event space among the oaks.

Not too shabby!

Blossom Events created a round bar to surround one of the Plantation’s many oaks for cocktail hour.

Bacon wrapped shrimp from Cru Catering… There ya go Jason!

Our former Bride & Groom Randal & Rael with their two little ones & one more on the way!

Jenny & Jason’s Wedding Video

October 11th, 2012

Over the past 12 years we have been lucky enough to work with some wonderful families & in a few cases we’re so lucky as to work with them twice! Several years ago we planned Randal & Rael’s Mackay Point Plantation wedding & this past spring we planned Randal’s sister’s wedding.

Jenny & Jason’s wedding video, which perfectly captures their lighthearted humor,  was featured on Southern Weddings blog.  We love being able to relive their wedding, especially their first dance to Tina Turner’s “Simply The Best!”

Pictures to come from Jenny & Jason’s rehearsal dinner & wedding!

Jacquie & Sean’s Cassique Wedding

August 14th, 2012

I’m wondering if I could even possibly be able to find the words to describe how absolutely cute, fun, and downright interesting I found Jacquie and Sean to be throughout the entire wedding planning process. Probably not!

Their personal dynamic was so complex- Jacquie is an accountant by day and a world traveler by “night” (she had to take a break in planning to trek across Antartica!!!) and Sean shares this crazy amazing zest for life as well. I am so thankful that through all of their travels they were able to meet (inHong Kong!) and decide to go through life together, and to go through the wedding planning process with us.  I still feel humbled to have been a part.

The bride’s family has vacationed on Kiawah since it was a tiny little snippet of a place and so Jacquie and Sean knew they had to show it off to their family and friends. They wanted every part of the weekend to show off Kiawah and it’s rustic wildlife, marshy landscape and it’s laid back vibe.

I LOVE what Jacquie’s precious dad Jim said in a toast- begged his guests who have now experienced Kiawah to keep their little secret to themselves. Ha!

Enjoy these photos from their weekend… I’m sorry, Jim, but these are too beautiful to keep them to myself!

Caroline & Edward’s Engagement Shoot

July 31st, 2012

Based on Caroline & Edward’s Engagement Shoot we know two things for sure… 1) they are too stinkin’ cute 2) their wedding is going to be one heck of a party!  Edward’s Family owns a tomato farm & it was the perfect setting for their playful lowcountry shoot.  Could they be anymore in love?! Looking forward to seeing more from Elisabeth Millay at Caroline & Edward’s Spring Island Wedding!
