Lauren and Danny

August 19th, 2013

A perfect Charleston evening created a warm and inviting atmosphere as guests danced the night away at Lauren and Danny’s June wedding. Turquoise accents glowed against the setting sun and shimmering ocean while guests enjoyed delicious food including COAST fish tacos and lowcountry boil.  With the help from our friends at Snyder and Event Drs we were able to transform the Rice Mill into a colorful and lively space. Guests had fun on the dance floor and showed their creative side filling out marriage advice Mad Libs for the bride and groom. To complement it all, floral by SYG, lighting by TEC and a Jim Smeal chocolate cake completed Lauren’s vision of a Charleston, waterfront wedding.

A special thanks to Tim Willoughby for these beautiful photos!

Welcome Bags We Love

April 10th, 2013

Welcome bags are a great way to greet your guests while giving them important information for your wedding weekend! Filling them with some personal favorites and adding a welcome letter gives your guests all that they need to start celebrating!

If your guests are from out of town, why not give them a map and a list of everything to do while in Charleston? Or you could give them some Charleston favorites like boiled peanuts and firefly. We love some of these Charleston themed welcome bags for our spring weddings, especially the sparkly champagne bottle and personalized bags!

Bethany & Tim

March 27th, 2013

Super chic but laid back is the perfect description of Bethany & Tim’s September wedding.  We loved the bride’s use of pattern on printing and décor, which allowed us to transform the William Aiken House into a modern twist on black and white. As food lovers, Bethany & Tim had a fab French tasting menu from our friends at Fish. To top it off, the emphasis of the ampersand sign, the floral from SYG and cake by Jim Smeal, made Bethany’s black and white vision into an evening of modern perfection.

A Unique Way to Invite

March 18th, 2013

Want to stray from the ordinary while adding unique touches to your big day? Check out one of Hannah’s quirky and fun invitation ideas that will happily surprise your guests from day one!

Have your printing done on a beautiful, vintage handkerchief, adding personal touches to your invitation! To further the look, have your response cards printed as postcards. You can wrap the invitation around the postcard, completing the invitation, securing the two by wrapping them in colored or patterned butchers twine!

Natalie & John

March 13th, 2013

Showing their guests everything Charleston was a main goal for Florida couple Natalie & John.  Personal friends of Ashley’s, WED was happy to be included in the big day! Simple, easy touches paired with great food and music were important details. Everything local made Natalie & John’s Lowndes Grove wedding an authentic Charleston summer soirée designed with a unique pattern and pops of deep blue and purple. As the previous chef at Cru Café, food was important to groom John. Thankfully, some of our favorite local vendors including Bowen’s Island, Cru Café, the Griffon and Butcher & Bee helped make Natalie & John’s dream of an awesome, Charleston wedding come true.
