Flurries of Snow

Here’s to safe travels for all those flying and driving north for the holidays… and for many just a few flurries for us in Charleston, too?!?!?

CHEERS!

Into Africa…

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Well, I’m going to be taking a little hiatus from blogging. I’m headed off to what be my greatest travel adventure to date… I’m going to Uganda!

(look towards the center at the pink country bordering Kenya and Sudan!)

While it would be pretty cool to say that I’m going to garner ideas for an African-inspired wedding (which, by the way, I would love to do!), I’m going for a much different reason. I’m going to serve the people in this country on a medical mission with Palmetto Medical Initiative. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to really immerse myself in that culture and harvest the Ugandan people’s utter joy and zest for life. I have a feeling these people might help me more than I could ever dream of helping them, if you know what I mean…

Follow our progress on PMI’s blog (since I know none of you can go more than a week without my blogging… ha!) and I’ll look forward to coming back to work more excited than ever to serve our brides and their families. We are thankful for each and every one of you and you make our lives full.

Happy holiday season to all!

Love it

I know headbands are all the rage (and I love them, too), but how about this look for a holiday party this year? Ali was one of our chic fall brides, and I am OBSESSED with the relaxed updo and bright blooms…
